Sea Derby Update!

Due to technical difficulties the Sea Derby's official website has not been updated, we are working hard to solve the problems at this time so please bear with us.

The 18th Annual Lockeport Sea Derby is shaping up to be an unprecedented derby, we have multiple events being organized on land to coincide with the activities on the water. Saturday will play host to a theater show for children known as Leroy the Lobster, at this time we are also planning to have a beach bash on Col.Locke's beach, as well as a Sidewalk Chalk art competition.

We are hoping that CKBW will be joining us again this coming year, along with all of our other sponsors.

It is also our intention to do another Lobster Draw this winter, as they have always been successful in the past, on the same token we are hoping to do another chowder supper before the spring.

That's all for now, but stay tuned for more updates, and remember! if you are interested in joining the Sea Derby Committee, please let us know, we would be happy to have more help!

Halloween Parties and Photography Contests...

... these are a few of our favorite things?

The Haunted Pirate cave was the theme for this year's Halloween party at the Beach Centre, and according to all who attended, it was a resounding success. The Halloween party was put together through a large collaborative effort between the Beach Centre, the Rec Department, the Pharmacy, the historical society and a large number of volunteers.

Events such as the pirate's cave and mad scientist's laboratory were well received by the 60 children who attended. We are deffinatly looking forward to putting on a similar event next Year!
